On December 21st the Kapac Raymi Celebration is held in the Culebrillas Archeological Complex. Everyone gets together to clean up their community. Once the task is complete, a special dance begins. The eldest of the family members begin telling stories which contain special messages, especially of unity.

Afterwards, typical games of this culture are played such as El Huayru(using a big die), el Cincuchuncya(balls and sticks are used) or the Hututuy(guessing games).

On the 31st of December you will observe the burning of the old year. This is an Ecuadorian tradition which organizes the farewell of the year. All the bad and good activities must be gone.
