The magical city of Cuenca has archeological sites that date back to before the founding of this city. These are the Ruins of Todos Santos and the Ruins Pumapungo, where you can observe the rocks that represent the the union between the Canari and Inka cultures; those who have left a profound identity in the area of the city.

To visit Cuenca during the celebrations is the best time to enjoy the city, especially during the Feast of Corpus Christi and Septenario which begins one week after Pentacost, in which the streets of downtown Cuenca are filled with typical sweets prepared in representation and honor of the Body of Christ. In the evenings, skies are illuminated by traditional fireworks of the region such as tower-like castles and air balloons.
